Duck and Veggie Wok

Healthy Monday time!

I love cooking in a wok. It’s just quick and easy. I particularly like veggies that are not overcooked. Do you like duck meat? That’s my fav one! It’s really tasty.

I put the vegetables in boiling water for a few minutes (like 3 or 4) and took them out quickly. After that I fried them in the wok, added the meat and … Voilà!

Easy quick recipe on the wok.
Ingredients
  • 1 duck filet thinly sliced
  • Soya sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Brocolis
  • 2 carrots
Instructions
  1. Start to put on high heat olive oil into the wok.
  2. Put the veggies into it and make them "sauté"
  3. Add the meat.
  4. Serve with noodles. Or rice.

 

Those are rice noodles. Just to change from soba noodles. Well I have to say that I really prefer soba noodles. I cooked rice noodles the same way than soba noodle, you can read about my method here. And it worked. The tip is to be fast. Once they are cooked put them directly in the wok to avoid them dry and stick together. The good thing is that this recipe is totally glutenfree.

Here I used carrots, brocoli and turnip. But you could use any vegetables you like.

  • I’ve never cooked with duck either. Do you think it would work just as well with chicken? I love all kinds of noodles but the fat noodles are my favourite! Another healthy winner dinner!

    • Of course it could work with chicken or salmon (already tried and approved) but you have to try duck meat. Could you find « magret de canard »?

      • What’s that in English? Duck breast? Maybe I’ll stick with some good old fashioned chook (that’s Aussie for chicken!)

    I have only eaten Duck once and whilst it was nice, I don’t think i could cook it myself. This looks like a great healthy dinner!

    • I’m so surprised that it’s not common for you. It would be like eating ostrich meat for french people then! haha. I love to discover our food differences ! xx

  • Such a nice quick dinner – I live the fat flat noodles too. Mind you I like rice noodles too. No shortage of duck here 🙂
